Towson High School Tri-M meets on the first Monday of each month from (October through May) in room 158 from 2:30 to 3:30.
Become A Member
To become a member of Tri-M, students must:
- Be enrolled in a music class at THS
- Maintain a 3.0 overall (on a 4.0 scale)
- Maintain an "A" in their music class(es)
- Attend monthly meetings
- Participate in chapter activities
New Member Application
Applications for Tri-M membership are due to Mr. Olin on the first Monday in December.
Applicants should...
- Attend all Tri-M meetings in the year that they apply.
- Join the Remind text message group for meeting reminders and member updates.
- Turn in the Tri-M New Member Application.
- Participate in chapter activities.
Tri-M Calendar of Events:
- October - 1st meeting of the year
- November - Guest speakers and fun activities
- December - New member applications due
- January - Tri-M Coffee House (rock, pop, jazz)
- February - Tri-M Recital (classical)
- March – “Music In Our School” Month
- April - Induction of new members
- May - Election of new student officers
Officer Elections
- All nominations must be self-nominations
- Elections will be at the May meeting from 2:30 – 3:30 in room 158
- All Candidates must give a short election speech (no exceptions)
- Campaigning is encouraged and campaign managers should follow all school rules regarding their campaign
- Candidates must be a current member of the Tri-M honor society in good standing and new members who have been inducted this year may run for office
- Officers are expected to attend all monthly chapter meetings and one additional officer meetings per month
