July 4th Parade
Join the Towson High School Marching Band for the Towson July 4th Parade!
This event is open to current band members, alumni, music teachers and friends of Towson High Music, and prospective Towson High School students. Pretty much anyone can join in the fun!
Ages
If you can play a marching band instrument or twirl a flag, you can participate.
Participants should have at least one year of experience playing a marching band instrument. Marching experience is not required.
When
Rehearsals:
- Wednesday, July 2, 2025, 7pm-8pm, THS Room 255
- Thursday, July 3, 2025, , 7pm-8pm, THS Room 255
Parade Day Itinerary:
7:00 AM - Arrive to Towson High School - Aigburth Road Parking Lot

*Continental Breakfast and T-shirt Provided for Participants
8:00 AM - Music Rehearsal (THS 255)
9:00 AM - Marching & Music Rehearsal (THS Parking Lot)
10:00 AM - Walk to the start of the parade (0.6 mile walk)
10:30 AM - Parade begins (1.4 mile parade route)
Music
Music should be memorized or the player should bring their own lyre and flip folder to hold the music while marching. Visit Menchey Music (and bring your instrument) to select the appropriate lyre and flip folder for your instrument.
The band will perform the school's fight song "On Wisconsin" and one drum line cadence for this parade. Sheet music and practice tracks will be posted soon.
Parade Information
The parade will begin at exactly 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 4th 2025.
The parade route is 1.4 miles. It starts at the intersection of Towsontown Boulevard and Bosley Avenue, proceeds north on Bosley Avenue, turns right on Allegheny Avenue and turns right on Washington Avenue.
There are two MC stands located on Washington Avenue (in front of Old Courthouse) and Bosley Avenue.
The parade will not be canceled unless there is severe thunder. If the parade is canceled, the announcement will be on the major area radio and TV channels and will be posted on the Towson Parade Facebook page.
