Will my child's absence from school be excused?
Answer: Yes, first period teachers will be instructed to code this as “Excused Absence Off Campus Code OC.”
What if I receive a robo call from the school informing me that my child is absent from school?
Answer: Contact the student's first period teacher with the following message, "Please code this as Excused Absence Off Campus Code OC" You can also message all of their teachers that day just to be sure that each teacher is coding this absence correctly. With this many students on a field trip there will probably be mistakes.
You don’t need to call the school because it’s the individual teacher who does the attendance. We really don’t want 200 parents calling the school. Just email their teachers.
